Why Am I Invested in Support? Why Am I in Support for the Long Haul?

I believe in a better world. I believe in helping people, whether that’s to maximize their potential (e.g., personal trainer) or as a healing process (e.g., therapy). We live in community and need each other. I need help and you need help. That’s why I love being in Support: to help and be helped by others so we can grow and excel to become what we never dreamed of.

Many of us are problem-solvers. It’s so hard wired into me that I don’t know what it means to lack that, to be the antithesis. Thus, when I see something broken, I want to fix it. To this end, I see not only traditional Support being broken, but human relationships as well. We all yearn for community, whether that’s family, friends, coworkers, or a spouse. This world is broken and while none of us can fix everything — or even many things — we can do a small part. That could be making a child smile, help a couple remember why they love each other, or coach a user on effectively using a product — all of these are important, all are focused on restoration.
