I feel like this winter there’s been a lot of pruning that’s been happening. I hope that means this summer much fruit will come.
It would feel like a waste if I didn’t see much fruit from all the piercing and slicing pruning.
Yet I’ve wrestled with this question for the past four weeks: is fruit the only end result, or can I appreciate the pruning for the sake of what it refines me into, and not simply that could be a lot of glittering and glowing this summer?
